Senior Accountant

  • BS Accounting
  • 5 years' experience in upwardly responsible accounting roles 
  • Well-versed in full cycle, GL accounting including reconciliations, journal entries, various accruals (including commission accruals), analysis, and financial statement preparation 
  • Responsible for complex month-end close process
  • Accustomed to presenting monthly financial reports and analysis to leadership
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, experienced with in-house ERP system, skilled with technology

  • Currently a Sr Financial Analyst - Manages and presents monthly financial reporting deck
  • Saved company $250k+ in annual operating costs through identification and profitability analysis

  • Directly involved in the building of and conversation to new ERP system
  • Oversees A/P, A/R, cash disbursements, and administration of payroll and benefits programs

Senior Accountant

  • BS in Accounting | Honors Program, Deans List 
  • 8 years of well-rounded accounting experience
  • Focus on mid-stream oil and gas and construction
  • Financial statement consolidations, intercompany entries
  • Cash forecasting and payment runs
  • Full monthly close procedures-preparation of monthly entries, commission reports, balance sheet and P&L review
  • Systems experience/NetSuite to include an integration from QuickBooks/advanced Excel

KICK OFF

We provide an outlined agenda prior to our intake meeting so that all parties can come prepared and we make the most use of the call. These items could include industry challenges, target competitors, interview process, offer logistics and any other key items that would impact our search.  

At the onset, we set up a conference call with the key stakeholders and decision makers for this hire, along with our entire team. This allows our entire team to have direct and complete information from you, as well as the opportunity to immediately ask questions and collaborate on how we all succeed, with J2T as your closest ally in the acquisition process.

RECRUITMENT

The J2T Recruiting team utilizes a wide variety of recruiting tactics—the biggest being our own robust and very much alive accounting and finance network that we have crafted over 20+ years. Candidates like us, know us, and trust us. Our calls get returned.

We then have comprehensive, confidential conversations with these top individuals to vet their experience, culture nuances and fit as it relates to your organization, compensation requirements as well as current capacity and desire to make a calculated career change.  Candidates that meet the experience requirements then go through a detailed interview process in a myriad of platforms to get a sense of their ability to command a conversation, lead, follow and collaborate.

If they are a top contender for the role, we present our candidate by outlining how their experience, skillset and personality match the criteria of the position and company, what their availability is to interview and what their timeline is in starting a new role.

COMMUNICATION

Throughout the entire process, we remain in constant communication with both our hiring client and our candidates. We work closely with you to schedule all interviews, prepare both candidates and our hiring client with appropriate pre-interview materials, technology needs and immediately facilitate a thorough and detailed debrief with both the hiring client and candidates. This way we can instantly address any and all concerns, provide additional information, or redirect the search as needed. Reference checks are done early in the process and can be re-addressed for any specific reasons. Our lines of communication always remain open and we encourage you to reach out to ensure a smooth process.
