Corporate Accounting Manager

  • Bachelors in Accounting at a top Business Program / Big 4 /industry focus in oil and gas and real estate
  • 8+ years of diversified, challenging accounting and finance experience
  • Charged with the closing process on a $60 million business to include managing the transfer of funds from investors and title, preparation of both external and internal closing documentation, and performing closing entries in the accounting system to ensure financial accuracy
  • Developed internal controls for a US Business Unit’s Finance Division, recommend areas for improvement both financial and operational, and establish new SOX accounting processes and controls
  • Exceptional technical accounting skills/implemented ASC 842 and oversaw pre-acquisition accounting
  • Strong leader of processes and teams/hired, trained, and mentored teams of 3-5 accountants
  • Advanced Excel skills and Large ERP experience to include SAP, Yardi, and Bolo

  • Previously worked as FP&A Director for a P&L with $2.5B in revenue; led monthly financial close, opportunity & risk, and pacing meetings with finance team
  • Excellent communication skills - partners with President & leadership team to provide financial overview of business/monthly & ad hoc reporting to highlight financial metrics, variances, pipeline generation, etc
