  • MBA in Finance & Corporate Finance, Bachelors in Economics (Ivy League)
  • 12+ years of progressive Finance/FP&A experience
  • Currently Finance Director, where he manages $240M P&L, oversees team 8 and focuses on full revenue analysis
  • Industries include Utilities, Tech, and Healthcare / Publicly-traded company & Privately held/PE-backed companies
  • Systems experience includes Hyperion, Adaptive Insights, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Salesforce
  • Sharp, down to earth and team-oriented
  • Target Compensation: $200K Base
  • Target Location: Metro Denver – Hybrid

Controller

  • CPA / BS in Business Administration, Accounting concentration
  • 12+ years of combo progressive accounting and finance experience
  • Big 4 Public audit experience with KPMG
  • Currently works as an outsourced Controller for 12 PE/VC backed clients (revenues of $10-20M) - oversees their financials, responsible for GAAP, budgeting/forecasting, regulations
  • Strong leadership skills and track record of mentoring others; Currently leads a team of 10 (two Assistant Controllers and 8 staff members)
  • Tech savvy - Experience converting to NetSuite from QB,  Advanced certification training in Excel and QBO

Senior Accountant

  • BS/MST in Accounting, CPA
  • 5 years of total experience, including 3 years Audit with EY | 2 years in his current role, acting senior with one direct report at a large public company in the building materials industry
  • Involved with the month-end close process, including the preparation and/or review of lease analytics reports, lease roll forward, fixed asset roll forwards, and journal entries
  • Lead point of contact for ASC 842 lease technical accounting questions and research items
  • Advanced Excel skills, JD Edwards & Oracle ERP system experience
  • Smart, calm, good listener and communicator
  • Target Compensation: $115K Base
  • Target Location: Denver or North suburbs – ideally – Hybrid preferred

Corporate Senior Tax Associate

  • BS/MST in Accounting, CPA
  • 3-year Deloitte Multistate Tax Senior
  • Perform detailed technical reviews and prepare partnership and corporate state tax returns and work papers for a diverse client base spanning industries such as real estate, technology, commercial goods, and investment management
  • Public and private clients at Deloitte.  
  • Target Compensation: $100K Base
  • Target Location: South Lowery – Evans and Yale – DTC to south side of Denver/Cherry Creek – Hybrid preferred

Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller

  • BS in Accounting, CPA
  • 10+ years of blended Big 4 audit and industry accounting
  • Focus in Real Estate, Financial Services, and Portfolio Accounting within Real Estate
  • Assisted with annual external financial statement audits of four portfolio entities, ensuring all balances were properly stated in accordance with GAAP and supporting schedules were accurate and complete
  • Oversaw all aspects of fiscal month-end close processes for a portfolio of forty real estate assets

KICK OFF

We provide an outlined agenda prior to our intake meeting so that all parties can come prepared and we make the most use of the call. These items could include industry challenges, target competitors, interview process, offer logistics and any other key items that would impact our search.  

At the onset, we set up a conference call with the key stakeholders and decision makers for this hire, along with our entire team. This allows our entire team to have direct and complete information from you, as well as the opportunity to immediately ask questions and collaborate on how we all succeed, with J2T as your closest ally in the acquisition process.

RECRUITMENT

We then have comprehensive, confidential conversations with these top individuals to vet their experience, culture nuances and fit as it relates to your organization, compensation requirements as well as current capacity and desire to make a calculated career change.  Candidates that meet the experience requirements then go through a detailed interview process in a myriad of platforms to get a sense of their ability to command a conversation, lead, follow and collaborate.

COMMUNICATION

Throughout the entire process, we remain in constant communication with both our hiring client and our candidates. We work closely with you to schedule all interviews, prepare both candidates and our hiring client with appropriate pre-interview materials, technology needs and immediately facilitate a thorough and detailed debrief with both the hiring client and candidates. This way we can instantly address any and all concerns, provide additional information, or redirect the search as needed. Reference checks are done early in the process and can be re-addressed for any specific reasons. Our lines of communication always remain open and we encourage you to reach out to ensure a smooth process.
